Cookie policy
Last updated 16 May 2026
Short version: by default we set no cookies. The site is readable without accepting anything. Two narrow exceptions exist for features that you opt into.
What we do not set
- No advertising cookies.
- No analytics cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless.
- No third-party social media trackers.
- No "consent vendor" cookie spam pretending to ask for permission.
What we may set, only when you ask
Comment session. If you sign in to comment via
Remark42, the comments service stores a session cookie scoped to
comments.autonomy-ev.com. This keeps you logged in across
visits. Clearing site data removes it. If you never sign in to comment,
this cookie is never set.
Cookie banner dismissal. If you dismiss the small
cookie notice at the bottom of the page, we store a single flag in
your browser's localStorage so the notice does not return.
That flag is not a cookie and is not sent to any server.
Your controls
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the Remark42 session cookie means you can read comments but cannot post.
