AutonomyEV is published by Spot Cloud B.V. (KvK 89708873), registered in the Netherlands. This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights under GDPR.
Short version: we do not run third-party trackers, we do not sell anything to ad networks, and we do not build advertising profiles. The only personal data we touch is what you give us directly when you subscribe to the newsletter or post a comment.
What we collect
Newsletter. When you subscribe, we store the email address you submit, a confirmation timestamp, the source of the subscription (which page you signed up from), and an unsubscribe token. We use this to deliver the newsletter you asked for and nothing else.
Comments. Comments are served by a self-hosted
Remark42 instance at comments.autonomy-ev.com. To post a
comment, you sign in with Google, GitHub, X (Twitter), or by email
one-time code. Remark42 stores your display name, the avatar URL
returned by your identity provider, the comment text, and a hashed
session token. If you sign in with email, your address is stored. No
cross-site cookies are written by Remark42.
Server logs. Cloudflare receives standard request metadata for every page load (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp). This is operational data needed to serve traffic and defend against abuse. Cloudflare's standard retention applies. We do not connect this to any analytics profile.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless and runs on aggregated request metadata server-side. It does not fingerprint visitors and does not set identifiers in your browser.
What we do not do
- No third-party advertising scripts.
- No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar.
- No selling of personal data to data brokers.
- No cross-site tracking cookies set by us.
- No newsletter list rented out, syndicated, or sold.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Comments: kept indefinitely while the site is live, unless you ask us to remove them. Server logs: retained per Cloudflare's standard window. Account-linked OAuth data inside Remark42 is removed if you delete your comment account.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
